For the past 4-6 weeks I have been playing with Google Earth trying to learn how to make a tour and place marks. Just as learning any new software, it takes a lot of time, trial and error, and a sense of discovery to stay with it. After many trials and failures, I finally got the hang of creating the little windows (place marks) that open when you visit a site on GE. And yet, there is a great reward to see some completed place marks made by students.
This project is about biomes of the world. Seventh grade students have researched topics and are preparing to create place marks for flora and fauna of the various biomes. After all of the place marks area created, we will blend them from all 4 classes into a tour. Students will use the tour to study for their test on biomes of the world. Stay tuned for further developments.
